We haven’t taken new photos of our pets recently, so one afternoon I decided to take an entire 2GB card full of pet pictures! Nika (dog) played along with the photo shoot, except when she came running towards me with her various toys and almost knocked me to the ground :-) Jayna and Little One (cats) don’t enjoy the photo shoots as much, but one can always hope to catch them in a rare mood to please!

The Rest of the Pictures…

After two weekends of hard work, we have a shed in the backyard and half of a fence. We still need to hang one gate in the back, install about 300 feet of fencing (30 sections) and a final gate in the front, then staple the poultry netting around the entire ~600 feet of fencing so Nika (our dog) doesn’t crawl underneath!

A BIG thank you to Chris and Papa for helping with the fence, carting materials, digging holes, etc. Another BIG thank you to Christine for mowing both weekends, and BIG thanks to Memere, Alex, and Katie for all of their hard work bringing dirt for the holes, raking, bringing drinks around, and for making the rest of us take breaks!

Cindy ordered a new faucet on-line via Ebay a few months back, but we had not had enough time to do anything about it. This week, we finally got everything that we needed and installed the new faucet in the downstairs bathroom. As you can see, this faucet it a little different than the one you probably have in your bathroom, but that is what makes it special. Basically the water comes out of the middle column and is allowed to flow down and over a glass ring, creating a waterfall effect. It really is quite pretty. The biggest problem that we have noticed with it is that the faucet is very high and so the water travels some distance down to the sink (about twice the distance as a normal faucet), thus causing more splatter from the water. This occurs even more when you do not turn the water on all the way. We have already been considering replacing the counter top with a vessel type, basically one of those sinks that looks like a large bowl sitting on top of the counter. We are in not rush for this, so we will just leave it the way that it is for now and see what happens later.

Some sample images of the faucet can be seen here and here.
