Check out the pictures from Learn Studios’ most recent wedding gig. I knew the bride from college, through our campus ministry “CCVT” and we have kept in touch via Facebook recently. When I found out she was engaged, of course I provided our congratulations, but I also offered our photography services. What a pleasant surprise when they decided to hire us! Knowing I would be 8 months pregnant, we asked our trusty 3rd photographer Chris to help us out (in case I couldn’t be on my feet for 4+ hrs). Since it was Memorial Day weekend anyway, and the wedding was in Chesapeake, VA (near VA Beach), we made it a family affair with Chris’ family and Matt’s parents. It was a beautiful wedding, beautiful weather, and fun weekend!!

Haven’t posted a link on here in a while, but we’ve continued to take monthly pictures for our neighbor’s baby as he has grown in his first year of life. His first birthday is May 17th, so check back for John Deere party pictures! Not only has this been a great chance for Melissa to get monthly photos of Gabriel without excessive cost or visiting bad portrait studios, but this has given both of us a wonderful opportunity to practice for our own kid! Just after Christmas, we realized how few photo props we have for young children… but maybe that will change soon! Gabriel loves to stand next to things and hold on, so we’re trying to figure out how to make a number 1 for him to stand next to for the final 12-month picture. Who knows, maybe Melissa will want to bring him back every 3 months or so for his 2nd year?

Another neighbor, Melanie, hired us to photograph her father’s surprise birthday party. A true leap year baby, he turned “15″ (well, 60 really) and it demanded a big celebration. Their extended family hasn’t had a nice family portrait taken of them since the newest additions were born, so this was a good opportunity as they were all dressed up Barry was truly surprised… he thought he was being dragged to a wedding at the Hilton Hotel! Although they hired a band, Barry stepped up to the plate and performed quite a few songs for us on the drum set too.

I skipped posting about Gabriel’s 7 month pictures, so this counts as the post to view his 7 and 8 month photos… And it’s already time to take his 9 month pictures again! While you’re at it, why don’t you check out all of his monthly pictures we have done thus far. So please check back in a few weeks for the 9 month photos… Hopefully we can think of something Easter oriented for the next ones

As you may already know, our next door neighbors Melissa, Gabe, and their son Gabriel come over every month for pictures of Gabriel as he ages through his first year of life. Born May 17th, he just turned 6 months old mid-November. Check out all of his monthly pictures we have done thus far. And be sure to check back in a few weeks for his Christmas photos… I’m sure Melissa will put him in a cute santa outfit or something of the sort!
