Today Cindy and I went driving around looking at houses. From a previous post you can see we just got engaged, and now we are planning a wedding and trying to look for a house. We found one house that we really liked, see the related pictures. This house is located near I-81, but it is far enough away that the noise should not be a problem.
We have found out that there are not many houses on the market right now. This is mainly due to the time of year, apparently this is not a good time of year to go house hunting but it should be better in spring or early summer. This aside, we are still looking around so that we can get a feel for what is in the area and see if we can find anything that we like that is within a reasonable price range.
Here are some pictures of one house that we like.

After a night of mid-night mass, followed by a wedding proposal, everyone was in a very happy mood when we all rolled out of bed. After some good food for breakfast, we all sat down to start opening presents. All the presents were very nice and enjoyed by all.

This morning, Cindy and I went to midnight mass at a church near her parent’s house. After mass, I proceeded to talk with her about church, family, and life while getting her alone. Then I asked her “before god and everybody if? she would marry me. To my delight, she said yes.
Apparently, her father was the only one surprised by all this when I asked him earlier in the day. Everyone else in the family seemed to think that I was going to ask Cindy the question, they just were not sure when I was going to do. Everyone in both families seem very happy about the good news and we are looking forward to getting married.
Here are some related pictures.

Today, Cindy and I got together with my family to celebrate Christmas before we went to her parent’s house. This worked out good for everyone since everyone else was planning on heading to Florida right afterwards. A great time was had by all and some interesting gifts were exchanged among all that attended.
There is a tie for the most “interesting? present received. The first one is a glass head given by me to my sister and her husband, but it was Chris that got to open the head. This was an item that Cindy and I found while Christmas shopping at Pier 1 Imports; apparently they sell several of these every week. We are still trying to come up with a good use for this head or a good way to decorate it. The best idea thus far has been to put a light bulb in it and turn it on when ever the possessor has an idea J.
The other gift was an Indian doll given to my father from my brother. It looked like a wolf doing a dance, but the strange thing was the large teeth that it had sticking out. It would be more appropriate to call those things fangs!
Many pictures were taken and will get posted when time permits.
