From my post last week, you may know that the contract that I am currently working on expires at the end of September, and another company was awarded the contract. As a result, everyone that I work with is unsure of where things are going to be heading with them in terms of employment. As for me, I got a job offer at ATK that I have accepted. I will be working at the same company as Cindy, working in the IT department. This move to a new company came at the right time… While other people are unsure about their future, I have a plan and know what is going on with mine… Atleast for a little while

Lego just announced a new program where you can design your own creation through some of their software, then actually order a kit so that you can build your design. Just imagine creating your own Lego set that could build your own house or something like that. Yeah, sure you could buy several lego kits so that you can get the peices that you need, but this is a lot more fun.
The site is called the Lego Design Factory. You can visit their site here. From there, you can download the software that you need to create your creation. Then after you are done, upload the design to their website and order away. You can also make your design public so other people can see your design and order it themselves… How cool is that?

Yesterday our company was informed that the Contract that I (and many other people) had been working on has been awarded to another company. This came as a shock, because no thought that the other company had a chance because our company had all the current contractors behind them… I guess you live and learn… Where our contract focused on how we are able to meet the Army’s needs now, the other contractor focused on what they could bring to the Army in the future and completely ignore the present.
So I am on the street looking for a job. That is the joy of being a contractor, the host organization can get rid of you at any time… Anyone have a job for me? I am looking now, but I am not sure what type of work I will be able to find in this area on short notice… I guess I will have to wait and see…

So we all remember that clas sin college that was a joke, but we needed to fill a requirement or just fill the needed hours. For me that class was a 1 credit class in Asthetics, that was very frew-frew. Well there is a new class that tops all of that, it is a class in how to use proper abbrevied SMS. If you do not know what I am talking about, here is an example.
If U do not know WOT I am talking about, here is an example. I WAN2 get together 2NITE 4 dinner.WOT time would U like 2 meet? WOT do U WAN2 do after dinner?
The idea behind text like this is that if you can read it, it becomes something that is easier and faster to type on the keypad of a cell phone. “Lasting for two hours and costing a mere £3, Strathclyde University’s Lifelong Learning Centre is already oversubscribed for the classes, which begin on 1 September. ” - That is a quote from this site which brought up this article. Where do I sign up?

This weekend Christine threw a suprise bridal shower for me (little did she know that I had already heard rumors of it before). After a long day of being escorted arolund by Matt’s mom to various quilting shows and stores. After traveling around all day, Matt’s mother took me to Christine’s house where people from both sides of the family were there to celbrate with me.
… Details to be added…
